The Journey

Before Your Arrival

  • Aeren Yosemite is located within the boundaries of Yosemite National Park—so you won’t need to pass through the entrance gates each day. While most travelers stay outside the park and spend time waiting in line to enter, you’ll already be inside, saving hours and enjoying direct access to Yosemite’s trails, views, and wild beauty right from your doorstep.

  • Aeren Yosemite is nestled along a private access road within Yosemite National Park. After booking, you’ll receive detailed driving instructions to guide you to the retreat. As cell service may be unavailable up to 45 minutes before arrival, we require guests to download or print the directions in advance to ensure a smooth and stress-free journey.

  • Aeren Yosemite is located less than 10 minutes from Yosemite’s South Entrance in Wawona, offering quick access to the park while still feeling worlds away. You’ll be deep in the forest, surrounded by nature, yet just minutes from the main road—a rare combination of seclusion and convenience.

  • Not entirely. Google and Apple Maps will guide you most of the way, but they do not recognize our private, unmarked access road. Once your booking is confirmed, we’ll provide detailed driving instructions to ensure you arrive with ease. We recommend downloading directions in advance, as cell service becomes limited well before arrival.

  • Cell service is limited in and around Yosemite National Park and may vary by carrier. To ensure a smooth arrival, we require all guests to download our detailed driving directions before departing for Aeren, as GPS alone will not be sufficient.

Once you arrive, the home is equipped with high-speed internet and Wi-Fi calling, so you’ll have reliable access to essentials

  • The private access road to Aeren Yosemite is unpaved and gently sloped in some areas, but generally accessible for most vehicles during dry conditions. For the safest and most comfortable experience, we highly recommend an all-wheel-drive (AWD) vehicle—especially during winter or wet months.

Please note that during heavy snowfall, our private access road may become impassable. Additionally, Yosemite National Park may close certain roads entirely for safety —these closures are beyond our control.

If your reservation must be cancelled last minute due to these conditions, we will refund your stay in full. Your safety always comes first, and we appreciate your understanding.

  • Part of Aeren Yosemite’s magic is its seclusion. Located away from crowds and surrounded by forest, the journey brings you to a rare, peaceful part of the park few visitors ever experience. It’s not just a place to stay—it’s a place to arrive.
